Both born in 1986, Raphael Wallner and Stefan Elsenbruch met each other at school and discovered a shared passion for filmmaking. After graduating, they both enrolled at the Academy of Media and Communication in Munich to study Directing. It was there, that they founded their production company "Black Rabbit Pictures" with two fellow students. Here they were able to produce most of their own student films. Stefan and Raphel usually work together as directors, which is how, amongst others, their award-winning short film "Das Gesicht" and their joint thesis film "Ab morgen" came into being.
